When out and about, it’s best to watch your surroundings and use your car in a helpful manner when needed.

Here are some tips to keep you safe:

● Check the inside of your vehicle before getting inside.

● Once inside the vehicle, lock all the doors immediately.

● Always lock your car doors, no matter where you are.

● Dash cameras facing the inside and outside of the car can help identify any accidents or break-ins.

● Do not keep any valuable objects in your car. If you need to, hide them from outside view.

● If you feel unsafe, honk your horn to draw attention.

● At night, park in well-lit areas. Park close to where you need to be so there is a short distance between you and your vehicle.

● Never pick up strangers.

● If someone approaches your car while you are in it, keep your windows rolled up and doors locked.
