Rankin County District Attorney's Office Victim Assistance Coordinator Receives MPA Administration of Justice Award

Rankin County- Madison and Rankin Counties' District Attorney Bubba Bramlett announced that Victim Assistance Coordinator (VAC) Leslie S. Owens was recognized as the MPA Administrator of Justice Award in recognition of her deep commitment to the administration of justice in the State of Mississippi. Owens was recognized at the Mississippi Prosecutors Association (MPA) Conference held last week in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Owens serves as the DA's Office VAC in Rankin County. Prior to coming to work in the DA's Office, Owen served as a Ridgeland Police Department police officer and investigator as well as an investigator for the Mississippi Attorney General's Office.

"Leslie's knowledge, experience, passion, and work ethic are second to none," stated Bramlett. "She handles each victim with compassion, care, patience, and understanding. Her prior law enforcement experience is invaluable in assisting the victims and attorneys in trial prep as well as navigating our victims and their families through the criminal prosecution process. She is most deserving of this outstanding recognition, and we are incredibly proud of her and thankful to have her on our team."
